    saw an ad in The Times for the above. Claims that the Premium Economy offers 40% more space. As far as I can see the seat pitch is 38inches against 32 inches and the width varying between nothing and 2 inches

    Seems a pity that the extra space appears to be in the cabin and not the seating area

    They have probably taken the measurement from the edge of the seat, to the back of the seat in front (normal seat pitch is back of the seat to back of the next seat (if that makes sense). So if they have increased the gap from edge of seat to seat back in front (knee space) from say 15″ to 21″ you can say it is 40% more space. Certainly if you are an advertiser anyway!

    According to AF website, the 40% extra space is the addition of 20% more leg room and 20% wider seats 🙂
