Readers who take Lufthansa flights between London City (LCY) and Frankfurt from February 11 may be surprised to find their services operated by an Italian airline.

Air Dolomiti is wholly owned by the Lufthansa Group.

From February 11, 2024 this airline will operate two of the four Lufthansa flights on this route deploying E190 jets.

It will be the first time Air Dolomiti has appeared at LCY.

The flights in question are:

LCY-Frankfurt at 0810 and 1715

Frankfurt-LCY at 0710 and 1615.

Note that flights operate Monday-Friday except that the 1715 from LCY and 1615 from FRA also operate on a Sunday.

The remaining two Lufthansa flights will be operated by Lufthansa Cityline as at present.

LCY-Frankfurt is an important feeder route to Lufthansa’s Frankfurt hub.

I’ve flown Dolomiti a reasonable amount and it is a competent/decent carrier.
