    Tried three times to book a business class online from London to Cape Town. Could not get to the payment page. So telephoned their office in Manchester to explain. She said “it often happens I will do it for you” she told me the fare. I told her that she was quoting a higher charge. She said “yes, you must pay a booking charge if I do it”. Errrrrr….

    Booked BA!!

    Where does it say the promotion has anything to do with pending oneworld membership? The page makes no mention of oneworld at all and the title of this thread is misleading.

    If you haven’t tried Qatar however I would thoroughly recommend them. Even the experience of their LHR lounge is exceptional and it leaves any other lounge at LHR standing. I do hope it’s not going to be opened to the card carrying masses travelling in Y, it really will spoil the exclusivity of it.
