Data compiled by aviation analytics firm Cirium shows that so far this year 3,070 flights departing the UK have been cancelled (defined as a flight being axed within 72 hours of its scheduled departure time), equating to 1.45 per cent of all scheduled departures, or 1 in every 69 flights.

What has your experience been of cancelled flights this year?

    None, luckily for me.

But all 5 sectors to or from the UK thus far this year have been delayed. Which mirrors all but 1 of significantly more sectors last year.

Frankly I was supplied that it was not more.
