Heathrow Express has unveiled what it is calling “the world’s first moving pizzeria” in partnership with PizzaExpress.
The pizza firm has taken over one of the rail operator’s train carriages, renaming it The PizzaExpress, and the new service even includes a ‘push for more Dough Balls’ button at each carriage table.
Customers travelling from 1 April can also sample the new Pesce D’Aprile pizza (we don’t speak Italian but if anyone can translate please let us know).
“When it comes to our express service, we’re not messing around,” said Mark Eastwood, commercial strategy lead at Heathrow Express.
“It’s time to cater for hungry holidaymakers who want a slice of summer as soon as they get on board our Heathrow bound PizzaExpress Train.
“Therefore, it just makes sense to partner with PizzaExpress – the UK’s most iconic pizzeria brand that shares our values of lifting spirits and putting smiles on faces, while delivering a fantastic service!”
We’d love to hear what readers think of the new service – but you’ll need to be quick to get a slice of action as it only runs until midday today…
