Qantas has launched a new fare promotion on routes between London and Australia via Singapore, but readers will need to be quick to take advantage.

The flash “Come & Say G’Day to Australia” sale runs for bookings made by 2359 GMT on 18 February “unless sold out prior”, and includes return fares from London to Sydney from £999, and from London to Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth from £1,049.

Alongside this Qantas is also running a 72-hour promotion offering more than 500,000 discounted fares across it domestic network, for bookings made by 2359 AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time) on 17 February, and for travel between April and mid-September 2024.

Highlighted one-way fares (in Australian dollars) include Byron-Sydney from $109, Canberra-Melbourne from $145, Adelaide-Brisbane from $199 and Melbourne-Perth from $279.

The carrier said that this week the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission published figures showing that domestic air fares had fallen, with average revenue per passenger in December 2023 down 13.4 per cent compared to the same month in 2022.

Qantas will launch a new nonstop route between Perth and Paris this summer, with flights starting on 12 July ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympics which take place from 26 July.
