ADNEC Group, through its tourism arm Tourism 365, has launched new charter flight services from multiple locations around the world to Abu Dhabi.

The new service, available from Europe and central Asia, is poised to boost visitor arrivals to the UAE.

Charter flights have been launched by Tourism 365 “from high demand and non-commercially operated international markets”, according to new agency WAM.

These include Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Tajikistan through its Tour Operators Market like Easy Booking from Central Asia.

This October, the German market will also see the launch of weekly charter operations to Abu Dhabi from airports including Leipzig, Nuremberg and Cologne through Capital Holidays. The charter flights will complement the existing direct commercial flight networks between the UAE and Germany.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, managing director and group CEO of ADNEC Group, said, “Our strategic ongoing goal is to boost the UAE tourism sector’s contribution to national economic growth through enhancing the offering and capabilities of the sector. Tourism 365’s ongoing growth and service diversification has the power to further increase tourist arrivals and diversify the source markets, increasing the international footprint of travellers visiting the UAE. ADNEC Group continues to successfully collaborate with tour operators to attract increasing visitor numbers to Abu Dhabi, highlighting the world-class tourist experiences in the nation’s capital.”

The ADNEC Group is an international venue development and management company. Its portfolio includes the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) which is spread out over 153,678 sqm and houses 1,827 hotel rooms on site, 21 meeting rooms and 13 halls.

ADNEC Group also owns the Al Ain Convention Centre in the UAE, as well as ExCeL London which is the UK capital’s largest exhibition and conference venue.

How Abu Dhabi is transforming itself into a regional MICE powerhouse

To grow the emirate’s MICE sector, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) announced the launch of an enhanced Advantage Abu Dhabi Meetings and Incentives 2.0 programme last year. As part of a revamped programme, the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau has collaborated with Etihad to incentivise corporate clients to select Abu Dhabi for their MICE events. Similarly, hospitality partners on the programme have schemes specifically for the MICE sector. Intermediaries who step in to further the MICE industry in Abu Dhabi are also suitably rewarded. ADCEB launched the MICE Agency Reward Scheme to incentivise both international as well as local intermediaries for bringing business to the UAE’s capital.
