Booked via my BA account for a friend using cash/avios. Travelled on EI metal and there was a return delay and a missed connection. Claimed to BA – rejected, told it is EI’s problem. Claimed to EI – rejected, told it is BA’s problem as ticket issuer. Claimed again to BA – thank you for your complaint we will try better.

Next move is Letter Before Claim – but, does it come from me who booked it or my mate who travelled and was delayed?

    thanks!

Don’t waste time sending a legal letter to BA as EC261 makes clear the responsibility is with the operating carrier.

It’s the traveller holding the confirmed reservation that needs to claim.
