Wyndham Hotels & Resorts this week debuted Ramada Encore by Wyndham Amagasaki.

The 235-key conversion project is the first Ramada Encore by Wyndham hotel in Japan, and the first international hotel brand within Amagasaki.

Ramada Encore by Wyndham Amagasaki is the second hotel Wyndham manages with Wyndham Destinations Japan.

Located less than 30 minutes from Osaka, and within walking distance to the Amagasaki and Hanshin train stations, the property offers an affordable and attractive option for international business travellers and domestic visitors alike, many of whom come to see the Hanshin Tigers baseball team play at Koshien Stadium.

Other nearby tourist attractions include KidZania, Universal Studios Japan, and Kobe, the third-largest port city in Japan after Tokyo and Yokohama.

For years, locals have regularly frequented the hotel’s traditional Japanese Izakaya restaurant A-Un, which will remain a distinctive feature.

In the coming months, the Wyndham Destinations Japan team says it will elevate the entire end-to-end experience further, renovating and modernising the common areas and guest rooms, and more.

This April, visitors to Japan rose to a post-pandemic high of almost 2 million, attributed to a relaxation of travel restrictions in China.

“As the first Ramada Encore by Wyndham hotel in Japan, this opening demonstrates the long-term potential we see in the market and underlines our commitment to make hotel travel possible for all by introducing new brands to Asia Pacific. As travellers continue to seek out refreshing experiences in new cities, our growing presence in the country will enable us to warmly welcome our guests with our iconic “Count on Me” service culture.

Famous for its historical and cultural landmarks, Amagasaki offers guests an escape from city life and boundless opportunities to dine, wine and unwind in its famed onsens,” said Joon Aun Ooi, President, Asia Pacific, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.
