Lufthansa has unveiled a special livery and aircraft interior design in celebration of Pride Month.
One of the carrier’s A320 neos (registration number D-AINY) will feature the ‘Lovehansa’ livery for the next six months.
In addition to the special wording, the welcome panel at the entrance to the aircraft has a rainbow design, and rainbow-coloured hearts have been painted on the aircraft’s winglets.
Meanwhile inside the A320 neo, special seat headrest covers also depict the colours of the rainbow, the symbol of the LGBT community.
The first flight featuring the new livery took off for Billund in Denmark on June 10, and the aircraft will operate on flights throughout Europe in the coming months.
Unveiling the design the carrier said:
“Lufthansa is a company that stands for openness, diversity and understanding. With the ‘Lovehansa’ special livery, the company is sending another clear signal and making this important part of its corporate culture prominently and visible to the outside world.”
