Skyscanner has launched an Arabic language version of its online travel marketplace for desktop and mobile web.

In an effort to offer travellers in the Middle East a more localised and user-friendly experience, Skyscanner has rolled out the Arabic language offering across all domains, including UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Travellers visiting Skyscanner on desktop, mobile web or via the app can now select Arabic as a language option to access more localised content, including local currency and a better user experience when linking to partner sites to complete their travel bookings.

The technology platform says the move comes as travel demand picks ups, with interest in both domestic and international flights on Skyscanner increasing, with 23% lift in searches made by UAE travellers and a dramatic 110% surge made by Saudi travellers from February to March this year.

Top searched countries in March by UAE travellers were India, the Philippines, Pakistan, the UK and Russia respectively and by KSA travellers, Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, the Philippines and Egypt respectively.
