Updated on March 26, 2020:

Air Asia has now extended its flexibility options for passengers who have booked flights on or before March 22 for travel between March 23 and May 31 this year.

Air Asia said eligible guests can choose to make flight changes or keep the value of their flight booking(s) into an account for future travel.

The airline said guests can change to any new travel date before October 31 this year on the same route any time up to 48 hours before flight departure for unlimited times without any additional costs subject to seat availability.

They can also choose to retain the value of their flight booking in their Air Asia Big Member account for future travel, which needs to be redeemed within 365 calendar days from the issuance date. The airline said the travel date of the new booking can fall on any date with the published flight schedule on airasia.com.

More details of Air Asia’s flight change policy can be found here.

According to the airline, guests affected by flight cancellations will be “promptly notified” via registered email and SMS.

The airline said guests can use its AI chatbot AVA on support.airasia.com or airasia.com to access the options. It added that this policy is only applicable to direct online bookings made via its website, and guests who made bookings via travel agents or made group bookings need to contact their respective booking agent.
