Accor has announced plans for its third Fairmont property in the UK, situated next to Windsor Great Park.
Fairmont Windsor Park is scheduled to open in the second half of 2020, and will be located on the site of the former Savills Court Hotel and Spa.
The agreement with the property’s owner the Arora Group will see the site “completely redeveloped to create a property in line with Fairmont’s globally-recognised standards”.
Facilities will include a 2,500 sqm spa and wellness centre with treatment rooms, a salt room, hammam, Japanese foot spa, indoor lap pool and outdoor vitality pool.
There will also be a tea lounge, champagne bar, all-day dining venue with private dining space and gin bar, and a “specialist dining restaurant”.
For meetings and events there will 16 rooms including an 800 sqm pillar-free ballroom with capacity for up to 700 guests, as well as landscaped garden for outdoor functions.
The Savill Court Hotel Facebook page has several development and interior concept images of the new hotel (although note this page does not seem to have been updated since early 2018).
Fairmont Windsor Park will join London’s The Savoy, and Fairmont St Andrews, as the third Fairmont-managed hotel in the UK.
There are a number of luxury hotels in the Great Windsor Park area, including The Dorchester Collection’s Coworth Park, and The Runnymede on Thames Hotel and Spa.
