The Maximilian Hotel in Prague has completed a refurbishment that has seen it get new-look guest rooms and a reconfigured ground floor.
The 71-room independent hotel now has a café/bar, restaurant, library, glass-walled event space and courtyard garden.
Designers Conran and Partners say their renovation references Czech modernism and the progressive art movement influenced by artist and writer Karel Teige.
All rooms have air conditioning, free wifi, TVs, rainfall showers, cosmetics, a telephone, safe and fully-stocked mini bar. Bathrobes, slippers and a hairdryer are also available.
They come in seven size tiers, including rooms with views of a nearby church, balconies and separate lounges.
The hotel is located near Prague Old Town, five minutes’ walk from the central square.
Restaurant Brasserie Maximilian is by Viennese restaurateur Marco Simonis and is described as “casual chic”, serving a mix of international and local dishes.
The hotel also has an in-house spa that is open between 1000 and 2200.
