Extending its support towards the breast cancer awareness month, Qatar Airways, in partnership with Hamad International Airport (HIA), Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) and Qatar Duty Free (QDF), has introduced a series of ‘Think Pink’ themed events.

As a part of this, Qatar Airways will launch a revamped version of its popular pink BRICs amenity kit, containing exclusive products from Italy’s Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio eco-range. The kit will be offered to first and business class passengers travelling on ultra-long-haul or long-haul flights.

On the other hand, HIA’s campaign will involve airport staff inviting breast cancer survivors to share their experiences.  An educational booth will be set up wherein information on the need for early screening and detection will be given to passengers travelling through the airline hub.

QDF too is actively contributing for this initiative. Elaborating on this, Bruce Bowman, senior vice president, QDF said, “QDF is thrilled to be able to promote this campaign in partnership with the Qatar Airways family. We will be displaying a ‘call to action’ in all our outlets, both at HIA and in Doha, to help underline the importance of regular breast screening and encourage donations to the Qatar Cancer Society.”

Activities for staff include pink giveaways and lectures from the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) at HIA, along with awareness workshops, free mammogram screening, and annual charity bazaar fundraising events at various Qatar Airways locations.
