Somerset Baitang Suzhou
The newly opened Somerset Baitang Suzhou sits in the financial and political heart of Jiangsu province’s largest city, making it a prime choice for long-stay business travellers.
Not only is the property part of the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), itself surrounded by numerous government agencies (notably the SIP Administrative Committee) as well as the Property Rights Trading Centre, Bank of China, China Merchants Bank and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, it is also just a 20-minute drive from the Ecological Hub, Integrated Free Trade Zone and High Tech Industrial Zone.
As for the property itself, it consists of 194 one- to four-bedroom units, all featuring separate living and dining areas, as well as a modern kitchen. You even get a washing machine, saving you the hassle of using communal services.

Shama Daqing Heilongjiang
March saw the opening of Daqing’s first international-brand serviced residence, the Shama Daqing Heilongjiang, and its location in the political and financial centre of the city, the Sartu District, couldn’t be more convenient.
But the Shama has a few other noteworthy offerings up its sleeve, notably a wine and cigar bar, a supermarket – especially helpful for those that plan to cook during their stay – and even its own mini cinema.
Even if you don’t plan on cooking all of your meals, the property also has and two restaurants – one Chinese the other Japanese – that also offer private rooms in case you wish to hold a lunch or dinner meeting. For more formal gatherings, there is also a meeting room at the business centre. Meanwhile on the leisure side, the property has a gym and a lounge.

Ascott Harmony City Nantong
As with the above Daqing property, the newly opened Ascott Harmony City Nantong is the first international-brand serviced residence in the city, situated in one of the city’s three main urban areas and its financial hub, Chongchuan district.
This notably places the property within close distance of the Nantong Economic Technology Development Area – home to multiple Fortune 500 companies – and the Nantong Sports Exhibition Centre, both of which are a short drive away. As for the property itself, it forms part of an integrated development that also plays host to a high-end shopping mall and premium offices.
Guests will find 164 individual apartments to choose from, ranging from studio to three-bedroom units, with each offering a living room, dining area and a kitchen.
If you’re looking for a place to buckle down and get some work done, there are conference room facilities and even a library, along with business support services that can be utilised. Meanwhile if it’s leisure you’re looking for, the property also holds a gym and a swimming pool. Those with families can make use of the children’s playroom and there’s also an on-site restaurant.
Fraser Suites Dalian
Fraser Suites Dalian’s greatest selling point is its location. Opened in May, the property is part of the mixed-use Europark Tower development in the city’s new CBD of Donggang that comprises more than 100,000 sqm of retail and entertainment in the form of a shopping mall, along with designer offices and luxury residential apartments.
Step beyond the development, though, and guests are also within walking distance of the Dalian International Conference Centre, the landmark that last year played host to the World Economic Forum’s Summer Davos meeting.
