Vietjet Air will launch a new international service linking its base in Ho Chi Minh City with Hong Kong on December 9.

The new service will be operated on a daily basis, with the outbound flight departing Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 1435 and arriving in Hong Kong at 1820. The return flight will then take off from Hong Kong International Airport at 1920, before touching back down in Ho Chi Minh City at 2105.

Vietjet will deploy an A321 on the route. The Airbus aircraft features an all-economy class configuration with a total of 230 seats arranged in a 3-3 layout.

“At Vietjet, our mission is to make air travel accessible to everyone and a more popular means of transportation,” said Vietjet chief executive, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao.

“We believe that our new Ho Chi Minh City–Hong Kong route will better connect these two dynamic financial hubs and tourism destinations. In doing so, Vietjet is proud to play its part in boosting integration, tourism and trade development across the globe and become one of the world’s favourite airlines.”
