Dukes Collection is to open a Dubai property inspired by the iconic Dukes London this December.

Dukes Dubai will be situated at the start of the Palm Jumeirah, and will feature 279 bedrooms, as well as 227 fully furnished hotel apartments.

Other facilities will include an outdoor infinity pool with views over the ocean and the hotel’s private beach, an indoor pool, 15th floor cocktail bar, and two restaurants – The Great British Restaurant (GBR) and Khyber, both headed up by executive chef Martin Cahill.

There will also be a Gentleman’s Cigar Lounge, and a woman’s only Duchess floor.

Managing director of Dukes Collection Debrah Dhugga said that the new property will be “a true British gem in Dubai, offering both corporate travellers and holidaymakers an oasis of luxury and old-English charm, and espousing everything that makes us proud to be British”.

The hotel will feature a replica of the Dukes Bar at the group’s London property, serving the famous Dukes Martini, and a Tea Lounge will also offer afternoon tea.

Dukes Dubai is currently offering an opening rate of £213 per night for a standard room, including breakfast for two.

Business Traveller reviewed Dukes London back in 2012, as well as Thirty Six, the hotel’s restaurant.
