Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Singapore has opened a new S$82 million (US$61 million) wing.

The new ten-storey building features an additional 243 guestrooms, boosting the total number of rooms to 563, which will help to cater for the increased traveller traffic expected once developments such as Terminal 4 and Jewel Changi Airport open in the next few years.

“The Crowne Plaza brand is a trusted name for business travellers worldwide and we have seen strong demand since Crowne Plaza Changi Airport opened its doors in 2008,” said Leanne Harwood, IHG’s vice president of operations.

“By expanding the hotel’s capacity, we are in an even better position to support the growth of Changi Airport and to provide quality accommodation to over 17 million visitors expected in Singapore each year.”
