SAS reinstates Shanghai route

Scandinavian Airlines will launch five-times weekly flights from Copenhagen to Shanghai next year, a route it last served in 2007.
The carrier dropped the Copenhagen-Shanghai route four years ago, replacing it with an indirect codeshare agreement via Beijing with Air China (see online news February 14, 2007).
But the service is now to be reinstated on March 1, 2012, with five flights per week using a three-class A340-300 aircraft (economy, Economy Extra and business).
Pending flight times for the route are as follows:
- Departing Copenhagen at 1825, arriving in Shanghai at 11:35 the next day
- Departing Shanghai at 1325, arriving in Copenhagen at 18:45
SAS says the Copenhagen-Shanghai service is scheduled “to offer smooth connections from London to Shanghai”, and adds that partners Air China and Shanghai Airlines will offer “convenient connections to onward destinations across China and beyond”.
