Rezidor announces two new Brighton hotels

The Rezidor Hotel Group will add two Brighton properties under its Radisson Blu and Park Inn brands at the end of April.

The move will see the rebranding of two existing hotels in the city, with the Royal York Hotel becoming the Radisson Blu Hotel, Brighton, and Lansdowne Place becoming the Park Inn Brighton. During the rebranding process the two hotels will undergo changes “to ensure they sit well within the two hotel brands”.

The Royal York Hotel is housed within a building dating back to 1771, located close to the seafront, Palace Pier, The Royal Pavillion, and The Lanes shopping district. It features 59 renovated rooms, many with views of the sea or Royal Pavillion, and other facilities include three meeting rooms, a seafood restaurant and lounge bar. The rebranding means the hotel will be among the first Radisson properties to adopt the new Radisson Blu signage, following the move away from the Radisson SAS name (see online news February 5).

Meanwhile Lansdowne Place (located 100m from the seafront) dates back to 1854, and features 84 rooms, seven meeting rooms, The Grill restaurant, and a spa with eight treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room and gym.

Radisson Blu is due to open two further properties in Bristol and Cardiff in June, while in the same month Park Inn will gain a hotel in Manchester’s Greenquarter District.
