Intercontinental Hotels Group has opened its latest property in the Big Apple, a new-build Holiday Inn hotel on West 31st Street close to Broadway and Madison Square Gardens.

The 20-storey hotel is located at 30 West 31st Street, and features 122 rooms, a rooftop lounge, business and fitness centres, and boutique Italian restaurant Contourno’s.

The property features the revamped Holiday Inn design and guest room facilities which have been rolled out across the brand’s worldwide portfolio over the last couple of years (see online news April 9, 2008).

The Holiday Inn New York City Midtown 31st Street will suit travellers looking to base themselves close to Fifth Avenue, while the hotel will be hoping to attract business clientele with corporations including Reuters, Morgan Stanley, Condé Nast and Credit Suisse located nearby.
