The historic Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire is currently undergoing extensive redevelopment, with a 197-room Crowne Plaza hotel due to be opened on the site later this year.
Set in 440 acres of parkland, the estate dates back to 1710, and already offers 154 rooms spread across the main house and a newer wing. The new Crowne Plaza Oxford - Heythrop Park development will bring the total rooms available to 351, with creative studio designsquared describing the new rooms as “both stylish & elegant, with a soft palette creating a comfortable, contemporary environment, reminiscent of a boutique hotel”.
The estate’s meeting and conference facilities are also in the process of being refurbished and brought under the Crowne Plaza branding, including a 350-seat circular conference room, a 450-capacity ballroom, and 11 meeting rooms.
Due to be completed in October, these new and refurbished facilities will add to the recently-opened health club and spa, including a 20-metre indoor pool, and a championship golf course.
Heythrop Park is located in Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, around 30 minutes from Oxford, and around one hour 20 minutes from London.
