Qatar Airways adds A380 to Guangzhou route

Gulf carrier Qatar Airways is to add its A380 aircraft to the Doha-Guangzhou route from July 1. The superjumbo will replace the current B777-300ER service, and will be the fourth Qatar route operated by the carrier’s A380, joining London, Paris and Bangkok. Announcing the new service Qatar Airways Group CEO, His Excellency Akbar Al Baker, said: “The Pearl River Delta region is one of China’s most vibrant trade and travel hubs and we have witnessed steady passenger growth both to and from Guangzhou over the years. Passengers from Asia can now enjoy their entire journey on our luxurious A380 aircraft when they fly to popular cities such as London and Paris via our state-of-the-art Hamad International Airport in Doha.” Flight times on the daily route are as follows:
  • Departs Doha at 0230, arriving into Guangzhou at 1530
  • Departs Guangzhou at 0055, arriving into Doha at 0400
Qatar’s A380 aircraft is configured for 517 passengers, with eight in first class, 48 in business and 461 in economy.
