Choice Hotels Europe has added five properties to its UK and Ireland network, including Dublin’s Gibson Hotel.
The Gibson joins Choice’s Ascend Hotel Collection of independent boutique-style hotels. The addition of the 252-room property on the Liffey River, which boasts cutting edge design, brings the number of Ascend hotels to 108 worldwide, with 38 having opened this year.
Choice, which operates the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands in Europe, with a portfolio of 500 hotels, has also taken on two properties in the Midlands under the Quality brand, with the addition of the former Connaught Hotel in Wolverhampton and a property at Birmingham Airport/NEC.
In addition, Derbyshire’s Makeney Hall Hotel, near East Midlands airport, now comes under the Clarion Collection franchise. Further south, the Winchester Royal also takes the Clarion branding,.
All six properties offer meetings and conference rooms with facilities for 80 to 500 guests and free wireless internet access throughout.
