Marriott has announced the launch of a Chinese-languge version of its free mobile app for iPhone and Android devices targetting users in Greater China.
Those without an iPhone, iPod touch or Android device can also access the new “app-like” mobile website, which has tap and finger-swipe features for an “app feel”.
The application and mobile website enables travellers to find their nearest Marriott hotel, book a room and check their upcoming reservation statuses. In addition, users can browse city guides and get helpful tips about their destinations. Marriott Rewards members can also check their account with the app.
“We know that more than half of our hotel reservations made using mobile devices are for same-day stays. This shows how rushed mobile travellers are around the world; speed and choice are critical,” said Shafiq Khan, senior vice president of eCommerce, Marriott International.
The Marriott International application is now available in Chinese, English, French, German and Spanish.
