VoyageVoyageParticipantHi everyone, I would love to see what people on this forum love to fly above!! I’ll start in my order of preference:
1- Flight from Tahiti to Bora, passing Moorea, Raiatea, Tahaa, and seeing Maupiti
2- Flying above the Arctic and seeing the ice sheet and icebergs.
3- Landing in Nice, France, just for the scenery and the smell of holidays!
What about you?

SenatorParticipantAs a Norwegian national and resident of Stockholm I am somewhat coloured by this 🙂
1. Late spring, early summer arrival into Bergen Airport (BGO) coming across from OSL or ARN over the plateau, starting the decent there and making a northerly turn at the inlet of the Hardangerfjord for runway 35.
2. Summer arrival at ARN coming from the South or South-East over the archipelago.
3. Landing at EWR from the north, Manhattan to the East.

BTMEEditorParticipantFlying DXB-MCT, you often get a good view of Burj Khalifa beneath.
Taking off from Newark on a clear blue sky afternoon – Manhattan laid out like a map.

canuckladParticipantOnce in the air flying still fills me wonderment……
I might be slightly boring but if i’ve got a seat over the wing my favourite landscape is ascending and then descending through broken cloud…..
It’s only at this point do you realise just how fast you are travelling…
Or flying across the pole and it’s night on the left side of the aircraft and daylight on the right side…spooky or what !!!
Before I actually post earthly landscapes I will need to put a bit of thought into my easily pleased images….

2. Over Andorra just before coming into BCN
3. The 90 minute flight over the Gulf of Mexico between MSY and MIA is as tranquil a flight as you’re bound to find
4. Flying over the Swiss Alps on approach to TRN
5. Nothing better than spotting your own house below (preferably on the outbound flight).
