China Southern Airline’s first Airbus A380 aircraft made its "maiden" flight from the Airbus base in Toulouse to Hamburg.

In Airbus' German assembly plant, it will undergo the final stages of assembly where the cabin will be installed and the livery will be painted. This aircraft is the first of the five A380s on order by the Chinese carrier.

Delivery of this superjumbo is scheduled for later this year.
