CX one-way fares

    Have been looking at one way fares on Premium Economy with CX to travel from Manchester to HKG One Way. The ticket is for someone who will be travelling with me only from Manchester to HKG. I already have my return ticket booked on Premium Economy originating from HKG.

    Looking the CX website, the cost of a 1 way Prem Eco MAN to HKG is GBP2025. The cost of a Prem Eco RETURN ticket from MAN to HKG is GBP1428.

    Isn’t that a bit strange?

    No it is not strange. Most long haul return flight tickets are cheaper than singles.
