Marriott has announced the opening of Fairfield by Marriott Chengdu High-Tech Zone, which marks the brand’s 50th hotel opening milestone in Greater China.

Located close to Guilong Park in Shuangliu district, the 145-room hotel is 10km away from Chengdu South railway station and 20km from the old Chengdu Shuangliu International airport.

The 145 rooms come with amenities including 55-inch LED TVs, walk-in showers, and complimentary high-speed wifi.

Located on the 20th floor, the signature Fairfield Restaurant can accommodate up to 100 guests, offering Chinese and Western-style options.

Guests can also get refreshments from the all-day self-service ‘24/7 Market’ in the lobby.

Fairfield by Marriott Chengdu High-Tech Zone has a 24-hour fitness center, but no pool.

“Chengdu’s High-Tech Zone is a thriving hub for local high-tech industries, with enormous potential in business travel. We are thrilled to introduce the Fairfield by Marriott brand into this area,” said Zhou Ping, general manager of Fairfield by Marriott Chengdu High-Tech Zone.

Marriott International has confirmed plans to further expand its portfolio in Greater China.

The group entered 2024 with more than 500 properties and well over 150,000 rooms in more than 130 destinations across the region.
