The EQS is the first all-electric luxury sedan from Mercedes-EQ, fusing cutting-edge technology with sleek design, functionality and connectivity.

Offering what electric car drivers value most – good range and new-generation batteries – the

first models on the market are the EQS 450+ and the EQS 580, which can be charged with up to 200 kW at fast charging stations with direct current.

Power for up to another 300 kilometres (WLTP) is recharged in just 15 minutes and at home or at public charging stations, the EQS can be conveniently charged with up to 22 kW with AC using the on-board charger.

For ease of driving and charging, navigation with Electric Intelligence plans the fastest and most convenient route, including charging stops, and reacts dynamically to traffic jams or a change in driving style, for example.

A new feature of the EQS is a visualisation in the infotainment system (MBUX Mercedes-Benz User Experience) showing whether the available battery capacity is sufficient to return to the starting point without charging

A new design philosophy

Although the EQS is a close relative of the new S-Class, it is built on an all-electric architecture and its design, with sculpted surfaces and a front Black Panel radiator grille with central Mercedes star, is clearly distinguishable from non-electric vehicles, so it has a personality of its own.

Air quality

With air quality of enhanced importance to consumers in 2022, as a brand at the forefront of global trends, Mercedes-Benz has introduced ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL PLUS for improved air quality in the EQS. An advanced systems based on filtration, sensors, a display concept and air conditioning, with the HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter trapping fine particles, micro-particles, pollen and other substances, is a selling point for drivers who value wellbeing while driving. Using pre-entry climate control, it is also possible to clean air inside the car before driving the vehicle.

An intelligent vehicle

Thanks to powerful sensors, parking systems features include the ability to park and unpark the car via smartphone using Remote Parking Assist, while new driver support functions include an additional microsleep warning from ATTENTION ASSIST, which analyses the driver’s eyelid movements through a camera. Enhanced intelligence is all part of Mercedes’ commitment to safety.

For customers seeking a luxurious, economical and environmentally friendly vehicle with the latest technology, advanced safety features and a new focus on driver wellbeing, all wrapped in a stylish package that stands out on the road, the EQS ticks all the right boxes.
