I am CMB, but have had to delay till next year. I was gutted when booking, being told by the SBB the minimum age is 12 (insurance reasons it seems) and he will only be 12 a few days after the last journey on Dec 11th.

However they have been doing this for several years now and I think Dec 11th is the timetable change date, so I’m sure it will be possible again in 2012. It’s going to be a surprise for my son.

With you on Diesel but my dream would be a Deltic flat out across Lincolnshire! Saw a news report they had brought one back for a short while.

Brings back such memories. Some transport just like the 747 is iconic and not just transport. Showing my age here…
