Tom Otley of BT has done an interview with Willie Walsh on the subject of WIFi. We all I think know BA is well behind on this, albeit WW justifies it. See BT News. The question still to be answered is if it will be allowed to make voice calls. I personally think it should not. I find it bad enough on busses trains etc having to listen to the banal one sided conversation of the person next to me on what’s for dinner, where they are (on one memorable occasion not even close, they were on the wrong train, I didn tell them as I couldn’t get a word in!). Given they are currently only promising WiFi on long haul, I think it should be a resounding NO.
