TimFitzgeraldTCParticipantGood Morning
Got this through at the weekend which may be of note to those getting Saudi Visa’s
“We have been made aware that effective immediately, the consulate of Saudi Arabia requires, that all visa applicants purchase medical insurance from a list of vendors pre-approved by Saudi officials.
This insurance is in addition to any medical coverage applicants already possess, and must be purchased, even if the applicant or their company, holds an existing insurance policy, from one of the providers. (The requirement does not apply to individuals requesting official, Diplomatic and Pilgrimage visas).
The list of approved vendors is constantly changing and therefore we are unable to provide this. None the less the policy can only be purchased during the visa application process.
This mandatory insurance should not be used to substitute any other policy, your clients would otherwise feasibly take out prior to travel, in order to ensure adequate cover for the clients requirements.”

Me too, Peter, me too, honestly I just can’t be bothered with KSA any more, life’s too short.

Carajillo2SugarParticipantIndeed, LuganoPirate…..
(and the Consulate’s brother-in-law, who just happens to own an insurance company!).

KSHaggagParticipantSchengen Embassies outside the Schengen area require the same type of insurance that is worth a hefty amount of money in addition to the already high fee for visa issuance .
If you knew how much the amount of documents required by Schengen for non Schengen residents to apply for a visa you will just be floored .30 Jun 2016

afranceParticipantI’m also needing to renew mine – FOXY146 will be interested to hear your comments. An interesting complexity that I may have is a pre-existing medical condition (diabetic) – I wonder what happens if their insurance companies won’t cover you? (mine, of course, does…)
