Passed by MIA this week, in transit. Was expecting a painful experience as I saw MIA as the worst airport in the US. How wrong I was…

MIA introduces ESTA lines. Passengers are sent to a machine that read the passport and check the fingers. Then it prints a ticket (with a picture) and passengers are going in front of an officer for a couple of questions. Total time: about 10 minutes. May-be I was lucky. But I found it just brilliant…

This is very good news…I transit through there next month after trying the new AA business class product on the 773!

Experienced the ‘returning’ ESTA lines at JFK (T4) last month, and through in minutes.Machines seemed to work well. Does anyone know when JFK (T7) will get the machines?

Be aware that not all the MIA-LHR are flown by the 773. Actually, on Saturday, one was a 773 and the other one, the 772.
On the 773, do read this:

Thanks Swissdiver. I have to say, we would normally have used BA for this flight, but a £1400 return in business to Tampa via MIA was too tempting.

Was that £1400 direct from AA?
