Eva Elite vs. Singapore Eco

    I have to travel from BKK to LAX and back from SFO later this year. The two options I have would be Eva Air Elite Class (Premium Eco) aboard a 777-300ER, or Singapore Airlines Eco on an A380 outbound, and 777-300ER inbound. The price difference is negligible with Eva costing about 100USD more. Which would you readers recommend, and which airline do you think would give the most chance of having a *Gold upgraded? How much better would Eva’s Premium-Y seat be compared to SQ eco, which I have heard is not bad.
