canuckladParticipantJust a wee heads up for those of you out there in BT Forum land that are interested in aviation programmes on the telly.
Seems my local aerodrome at Turnhouse has beaten its more illustrious southern cousin to TV stardom.
1st of a two parter will be shown on BBC Scotland at 9pm Thursday. If you don’t live in God’s own country and you have Sky you should find BBC Scotland in the high 900 channel’s.
Hopefully it’ll be better than the cack that they churned out a couple of years ago.

canuckladParticipantReally enjoyed the programme last night, and all right I confess I’m starting from a point of interest as it’s my local airport.
What I found refreshing about this programme was the honesty about their performance especially from the management team. It was also very insightful on how the EDI marketing team managed to woo airlines into EDI at the “Routes” conferences.
Normally I can take or leave TV, in this case I’m looking forward to part 2 next week.
For those of you not in a BBC Scotland catchment area I’ve included the link via iplayer

canuckladParticipantCaught up on the 2nd episode last night on my Sky+ and I’ve got to say, I’m hoping that the upcoming BA documentary comes close to this piece of fly on the wall television.
I hate the shopping centre feel of an airport, and found it quite interesting now EDI’s management team generate revenue from the space. Hence the reason why security queues are kept to a minimum.
For those of you who want to catch up, I’ve linked again to BBC Scotland’s iplayer. Watch out for the piece on Jet2 and how they manage to transform their aircraft everyday from passenger to cargo. As Spock would have said “Fascinating”!http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b041gckq/Inside_Edinburgh_Airport_Episode_2/
