As you will have seen from our News pages Boeing has so far announced huge orders for new aircraft.

    More will follow.

As I write this Alia has purchased a few 787s while newcomer Riyadh Air is expected to reveal its order.

As for Airbus a mammoth order from Turkish Airlines is awaited. [TK]

    Thanks for sharing Alex.

I did read the post in the News section – that is quite some order for Boeing from Emirates.
In the past they’d shared their order book but with the A380 no longer being produced it looks like they’ll be an exclusive Boeing customer into the future. The folk from Virgina, doubtless delighted with this.

Interesting that TK, who have a large number of long haul Boeing aircraft, are moving more towards Airbus.

    Update from Reuters.

Looks as though TK has made a huge order with Airbus but it’s not a certainty that it will be officially announced at the airshow. We shall have to see.
