American Airlines Luggage tracking

    On my last visit to DFW on AA , I was impressed with the Live luggage tracking service with AA, while on board , you can check using your reservation code the state of your luggage, it shows in real time when the luggage left the previous plane and when it was loaded to the connection flight, I was really relieved to know that my luggage were already loaded and that when arriving in Manchester I wouldn’t be worried about their location. I hope BA would follow AA with this.

    I think this would be better used to notify the cabin crew of any failed luggage loading, they could inform the passenger, I have never really taken to this idea of doing someone else’s job for them. Similar to these courier companies telling you how to track your package, I don’t want to track it, I want you to deliver it when you said you would and for when you got paid to.

    I believe airline staff can track it already. When I board a connecting flight I always ask the gate staff if my bag(s) have been loaded and they see it on the screen immediately.
