This is Hyatt Regency Delhi’s renowned Chinese restaurant. Started in 2007, The China Kitchen is known for serving authentic Oriental flavours of the highest quality. The restaurant recently celebrated its 11th anniversary with an all-new menu that is inspired by Beijing street style food.

My fine dining experience at this contemporary Chinese restaurant started off with a Sichuan-style spicy lamb salad with sesame, peanut and coriander, followed by three types of dumplings — shrimp dumpling, four seasons vegetable dumpling and spicy green dumpling filled with asparagus, lotus root and pea.

The highlight of my meal was the Beijing-style roasted duck, which is a must-try when visiting The China Kitchen. The restaurant does complete justice to this classic recipe. I also tried the Hunan-style spicy sliced chicken and the spicy dan dan noodles which was packed with fiery flavour.

For desserts, I enjoyed the chocolate fondue which was the best way to end my scrumptious meal at this modern dining outlet.

Verdict: The restaurant spoils you for choice with its wide offerings of authentic Chinese delights.
