The Langham, London’s exquisite Roux at The Landau restaurant is possibly the best place to enjoy classic European dishes with a modern twist. The restaurant features a casual yet elegant décor.

To begin with, I had the smoked sea bream with cauliflower, citrus and dashi. The fish was cooked beautifully and well-rounded in flavours.

The San Daniele prosciutto ‘grissini’ with whipped brie and black truffle dressing was a delight. The smooth texture of the prosciutto and the richness from the whipped brie made this my absolute favourite.

I also tried the Buccleuch beef fillet with potato and ox-tongue mille-feuilles, bitter leaf, and shropshire blue sauce.  The fillet was just the way it should be — succulent and tender.

I paired my meal with a glass of fine Barbera d’Asti wine, which elevated my whole dining experience.

Verdict: Undoubtedly one of London’s most fine dining spaces to try out classic dishes with a contemporary twist.
