WHERE IS IT?
Lanson Place Hotel is in Hongkong’s bustling Causeway Bay shopping area. The retail megapolis of Times Square is within walking distance and the Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Centre is just 10 minutes away from the property by taxi. The Causeway Bay MTR station is a three-minute walk from the hotel.
WHAT’S THE CAPACITY?
There are two meetings spaces: a boardroom set-up with a maximum capacity of 32 and another with a round-table configuration that can take a total of 24 participants. Audiovisual equipment is state-of-the-art and the chairs are ergonomically designed for comfort.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The hotel currently has a special 10-room deal for meeting planners. Event organisers who book a minimum of 10 rooms overnight at the rate of HK$1,250 (US$162) per room can hold their meetings for free. The price is not inclusive of lunch but does include morning and afternoon coffee breaks.
VERDICT:
The Lanson Place provides an elegant environment for exclusive corporate meetings. Catering is excellent for coffee and lunch breaks and there are coffee facilities in the room, which staff are happy to demonstrate. Initially, we had some small technical problems but these were quickly resolved by the Lanson Place staff. The room has natural light but given the location, there is no intrusion of outside sound so the property’s soundproofing can be relied upon. One downside is that there are no private washrooms and meeting participants need to use the one located in the fitness centre or public areas.
