Background
This brand new hotel was barely a week old when I checked in. It is part of the Exes chain of hotels, which already has a significant presence around the Okinawa island.
What’s it like?
As soon as I stepped into the cavernous lobby, I was instantly bathed in luxury and tranquility. Following a quick check-in, I was led to my room. I found the room to be chic and contemporary, with clean lines and a fuss-free design.
Where is it?
Okinawa Exes Naha is situated at the heart of Naha, the capital of the Okinawa Prefecture, a 15-minute drive from Naha Airport. While the neighbourhood is quite busy, the hotel is situated in a quiet lane, so it gives you an instant sense of being away from it all. The hotel is also a short walk from Naha’s main shopping and nightlife streets.
Rooms
I was extremely impressed by my room, which featured a stylish, ultra-modern décor. The spacious room also has a balcony overlooking the neighbourhood. There are multiple power sockets and USB ports throughout the room, perfect for a business traveller. Other amenities include a Nespresso machine, bathrobes, slippers and a large desk. The marble bathroom is also exquisite.
Food and Drink
This property places a lot of emphasis on high-quality F&B experiences. My company and I enjoyed a traditional Japanese dinner in a private dining room at Loo-Choo, where the focus is on Okinawan cuisine, presented in traditional Okinawan crockery. You could even head to Sushi and Bar Taira, for a leisurely evening of cocktails and fine sushi.
Leisure
The hotel has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool as well as a well-equipped gym, which is perfect for you to unwind, after a long and tiring day at work.
Verdict: This is a great place to stay at on your next business trip to Okinawa.
