With their ‘ingredient first’ philosophy at heart, Ekaa is the creative brain child of chef Niyati Rao and is set to become one of Mumbai’s culinary crown jewels. The crux of each culinary delight presented to us at the restaurant was authenticity. There is no specific cuisine present at Ekaa. The dining table acts as a melting pot for various cultures and the carefully curated dishes are presented with Rao’s innovative spin. Right from the tapioca chaat freshly made at our table to the glazed chicken served with the most delectable mushroom rice, the entire meal was a melange of the freshest, local ingredients and a unique technique of cooking.  Each bite was either nostalgia inducing or a new delightful adventure for my tastebuds. What adds to the dining experience is the walls tastefully adorned with art. Nestled inside a 131 year old building, the soothing aura of the restaurant is not just limited to the beautiful skylight that floods the restaurant with warm sunlight but is further enhanced by the exceptional service. The food is cooked with passion and innovation and brought to your table with kindness.

VERDICT A visit to Ekaa is not merely a culinary delight but a treat for all your senses.
