Bose Mobile In-ear Headset

15 Sep 2009 by Sara Turner

Many phones pride themselves as being a great alternative to carrying around a separate music player and while they take a lot of time in the design and sound quality of the actual phone, they forget to spend the same time on the headsets that come as standard. Bose has stepped up to the challenge and produced its first mobile in-ear headset, to provide the music lover with good sound quality teamed with all the convenience of a mobile headset.

I found that the Bose headphones provided excellent clarity and range of sound and there was definitely more oomph to the bass than other headsets I’ve used. They’ve also thought about comfort, with three different sized ear tips provided, all ergonomically designed. After finding my size, which happened to the one that came as fitted, I found they were still comfortable after wearing for a few hours on my commute home.

The only possible down side for me was the case. In terms of the size, it was fine for carrying the headset and my phone, but I’m sure some people would want to carry their music player with the headset, which the case would be too small for.

Also, although the case is provided, like many people I have a habit of storing my headphones wrapped around my phone a lot of the time and I did find that the cable became easily twisted, compared to other headphones I have used. Maybe someone should invent something to stop this happening...

Pros Excellent clarity and range of sound, comfortable to wear

Cons Case could be improved
