Each year, Business Traveller Asia-Pacific conducts its much-anticipated Charity Auction with all proceeds going towards the Chi Heng Foundation (CHF).
Starting December 1, the auction will be conducted in three phases, each with different items available for bidding. Phases two and three will commence at the beginning of January and February, respectively.
The UK auction is already live, with proceeds going towards The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability.
The Business Traveller Asia-Pacific & China Charity Auction 2016 includes a total of more than 200 packages up for bidding. Among the many great prizes available this month include flights as well as hotel stays in Asia-Pacific and beyond, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
As Business Traveller Asia-Pacific enters its 11th year of association with the Chi Heng Foundation (CHF), we are proud that our efforts, and those of our many partners in the hotel and airline industries, are making a real difference to the lives of so many young people in China.
Over the past 14 years, CHF has fulfilled a long-running commitment to provide educational sponsorship and psychosocial support to AIDS-impacted children in China, from primary school through to university. As of July 2016, CHF had cumulatively sponsored about 18,000 students from AIDS-affected families, and more than 1,700 have graduated from universities since 2002.
In addition to formal education, CHF also supports vocational training and runs psychosocial programmes for the children. In spite of the challenges, CHF has built more than 25 reading rooms in China this year, 16 of which were built with the support of Business Traveller. All proceeds raised from the charity auction go to CHF.
