Strengthening its network expansion, Vietjet confirms that it will for the first time connect its Ho Chi Minh City hub with Tokyo’s downtown Haneda Airport starting late April.
At the same time, Vietjet will resume its Da Nang-Taipei service, and it will increase frequencies on Ho Chi Minh City-Hong Kong.
In celebration of its expansion and International Women’s Day on 8 March, Vietjet says it will offer millions of tickets priced from VND8,300 (US$0.35), excluding taxes, on its entire network between 3 March and 9 March.
The new service from Ho Chi Minh City to Haneda will operate once a day from 26 April, taking off in Ho Chi Minh City at 1700 and arriving at Haneda at 0100.
The return service will depart at 0200 and get back into the Vietnamese commercial hub at 0610.
Flights to Haneda will be onboard Airbus A330-300 widebody aircraft, just like Vietjet’s existing flights to Narita and Osaka.
Vietjet’s A330 aircraft feature the airline’s signature SkyBoss flatbeds and priority services including lounge access, multi-course meals and 60kg of checked baggage.
The airline says it will offer a 50 per cent discount on SkyBoss flights on its entire network between 7 March and 25 May by applying discount code ‘ALL50SBB’ for SkyBoss Business and ‘ALL50SB’ for SkyBoss bookings at www.vietjetair.com.
Separately, Vietjet will resume Da Nang-Taipei from 1 July with a frequency of five flights per week, operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The flights from Da Nang will depart at 1200 and land in Taipei at 1545 local time. The return service will leave Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport at 1650 and arrive back in Da Nang at 1835.
Moreover, Vietjet will increase the frequency on Ho Chi Minh City-Hong Kong from 8 March to five flights per week, operating every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The flights from Ho Chi Minh City take off at 1510 and land in Hong Kong at 1850, returning at 1950 for an arrival back into Ho Chi Minh City at 2130.
