Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of its first mountain resort property in India, Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort. Situated  in the  Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, the hotel joins 11 other Hyatt Regency properties in country.

It features 80 contemporary rooms, including ten Regency Club rooms and three suites. The resort also features four deluxe villas, ranging from one to five bedroom properties. Rooms are well-equipped with modern amenities and overlook the gardens, cedar wood trees or the snowcapped Dhauladar range of the Himalayas.

Spread across 6.5 acres, Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort offers a wide array of experiences for guests, focussed on on local arts, craftsmanship and nature. This includes yoga sessions, meditation in a Buddhist temple, guided photography walks and tours to local attractions, and a sunset high tea at tea gardens or sunset point. It also houses the Shanti Spa that’s designed to offer guests mindful relaxation.

The property features three F&B outlets – Thym for all-day dining including dishes prepared with ingredients from the hotel’s herb garden; 2082, a modern bar with a fireplace; and library offering mountainous views and McLeod & Co, the in-house bakery.

Spanning 185 sqm, Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort has separate spaces for conferences, weddings, intimate dinners and gatherings.
