Pune Airport to offer e-visa facility to international travellers, April 1 onwards.

Foreign nationals of around 130 countries travelling to Pune will be able to avail of this service by applying for an e-visa four days prior to travel.

However, Pune Airport does not operate many international flights. This includes two flights to Dubai via Air India and SpiceJet, one to Frankfurt via Lufthansa and one to Abu Dhabi via Jet Airways.

It is still popular with corporate tourists that visit this IT hub for business. A number of spiritual travellers also visit Pune for Osho Ashram.

The facility of availing e-visas is offered at 16 other airports in India, including Ahmedabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Chandigarh and Mangaluru Airport are also scheduled to receive this facility in the near future.
