Discount carrier Frontier Airlines has announced that it will add new flights in 12 markets in the US in 2017.

These include Bismarck in North Dakota, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Sioux Falls South Dakota; Washington, D.C, Fort Myers and Tampa in Florida.

Ten of the routes will launch between June 10 and July 16, 2017 while the Florida flights, both originating in Colorado Springs, will commence in the autumn. Introductory fares start at US$29.

“Our network continues to expand in markets where people want to fly,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network planning for Frontier. “Customer travelling in these new markets will now have a new low-cost option.”

The new service includes:

  • Daily seasonal flights from Colorado Springs to Chicago O’Hare, San Diego and Washington/Dulles, beginning June 10, 2017; four weekly flights to Los Angeles beginning June 12; and three weekly flights to San Francisco, with service beginning June 11.
  • Twice weekly flights from Las Vegas to Bismarck beginning June 11, four weekly flights to Sioux Falls starting June 12, daily flights to Washington/Dulles beginning June 16, and three weekly flights to Indianapolis beginning July 16. All of these flights will operate year-round.
